Marble is formed by limestone through a metamorphic process, meaning it changes form: this process leads to a complete recrystalization of the calcium carbonate that largely makes up the rock, thanks to the combined action of heat and pressure.<\/p>\n

These transformation processes occur deep underground and are brought to the surface by the movement of the earth\u2019s crust.<\/p>\n

The colour of marble depends on the presence of mineral impurities (clay, silt, sand, iron oxides, flnt nodules), embedded as grains or layers within the original rock. Apuan marbles, for example, are among the purest in the world because they consist almost exclusively of calcite which determines their characteristic white colouring.<\/p>\n

Variations of veining and tones are natural and essential characteristics of all marbles. Therefore, they cannot be considered as DEFECTS<\/strong> but as a NATURAL<\/strong> and UNIQUE \u2018STATE OF BEING\u2019<\/strong> of this stone<\/p>\n

MARMO CARRARA BIANCO<\/h2>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

In the mountains, in the west of Tuscany, in the Apuan Alps, in the \u201cMarble Cathedrals\u201d, Carrara White is preserved. Selection C is a particular and exclusive quality \u2013 very light and with little veining. Pure and Luminous, universally recognized as one of the most precious of marbles, CARRARA \u00a0WHITE has become the symbol of \u201cMade in Italy\u201d<\/p>\n

Crema Luna is a particular marble with an even, light \u2013beige colour characterized by the presence of traces of fossils which give this material a “flowered” aspect. Its perfect application coincides with the fiishings which exalt its characteristics: dressing, or sandblasting. A malleable material which does not suffer the effects of frost and which lends itself to multiple applications in furnishing<\/p>\n
